I am the President of the Rhode Island Chapter of the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I wanted to introduce myself and let you know how excited I am to take the lead for our Chapter and to guide us in reaching our goals of helping families to connect with each other, providing advocacy, information and support, and establishing the RI Chapter of AG Bell as a core resource for adults and children in RI with hearing loss who utilize listening and spoken language.
In the next few months we will be working on strengthening our Chapter and increasing our membership and outreach efforts. I would like to encourage all of you to get involved and officially join our Chapter! Joining AG Bell is free for family members of a child with hearing loss (information on how to join is in the box at right). Please consider joining and sharing this information with any other people or families you know that may benefit from membership. Let’s make sure that every adult and child with hearing loss is able to access the benefits and resources that are provided by AG Bell!
Please be sure to bookmark our website and to like our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/RIAGBELL/ for regularly updated information on events and community outreach.
We have already begun working on activities and events for the next year. 2018 is going to be an exciting year, and we hope that you will join us!
